A Touch of Colour

For Critique: How do you find the concept? I feel as though it is cliched - I think I may have seen it somewhere before but I'm not sure...

How about composition? Should I have made the canvas a shorter width to concentrate the subject matter or keep the negative space to expand on the grey world?

Do the swirls and butterflies clutter the image? How about their size? Should I add more or take them away? How about the concept of the boot? I was thinking of adding splashes to the wall but thought it would clutter it too much.

If there is anything else you could think of telling me that would be greatly appreciated.
