Description

Four-leaved clovers are lucky right? So, for the Joys of Life Contest [link] run by :iconalwaysmotivated here it is.

Gee I'm sick of folding paper hearts now. :P

:iconcritique-it: I should compose the pieces a bit more interestingly. Any thoughts, let me know. I'm not entirely sure if this colour scheme works... Perhaps a greener one would be better... Hmm, there are some thoughts...

What a nice idea, a clover made of hearts :) I think its a great idea, very original.

In terms of critique, I'm not an advanced photographer but here's a few thoughts on the composition itself. I think it depends a little on what effect you were going for. This picture says to me that there's something special that has just turned up in an everyday scene. I think possibly you could play with the lighting and contrast a little, make the white a little whiter and the green a bit more saturated to make it stand out a bit more but it works the way it is too :) I think maybe there's a little too much negative space above the clover, maybe crop it a little and see if you like the effect any better?
I do like the simplicity of the shot, there's nothing to distract from the clover. A thought occured of maybe having a few smaller green hearts scattered in the background (not made up into a clover or maybe a real 3 leafed clover or 2 in the picture but I'm not sure if that will just clutter it up.

Anyway just a few suggestions, feel free to take or leave any of it :)
