Awesome clubs

Mon Sep 21, 2009, 4:04 AM
Well nothing much has been happening lately but I figured since I've just joined so many clubs recently that I should put the icons down somewhere:

:icondeviousrockinartists: for all sorts of mediums :)
:iconbirds-club: Pretty self-explanatory.
:icontraditional-artists: Also pretty self-explanatory.
:iconuniqueclub: for unique one-off pieces.

I think that's about it.

Been getting into the music of Gavin DeGraw and Sarah Bareilles lately. They're amazing! They should do a duet! Their music is so beautiful. Of course still fateful to dear old Vanessa Carlton too. I wish they'd all do a show somewhere in Australia.

I'm so addicted to DA I keep coming back here instead of doing my uni homework. Eurgh. That's been going okay so far though but biology at UWA is a joke, seriously. It has the crappest facilities and it's the poorest run. Chemistry is all right but Statistics ain't that great either. And sadly this is our best uni. Sigh.

Personal life going okay. Still haven't found a job :S Lets hope Christmas helps this year.

Cussing her computer

Sun Mar 1, 2009, 2:43 AM
I hate my computer, I really do. Bloody piece of shit keeps freezing on me! During our holiday to Malaysia we got it "updated" to Windows Vista and now it's shittier than ever. I kept on working for my entry for the Valentine competition in photoshop and all of a sudden it keeps freezing on me! The only problem is that I'm too poor to buy a mac... I never want to go with bloody windows again.

In installing Vista I've also had to wipe Illustrator off my computer so I can't use that program anymore! I'm so pissed off. And the thing is that I can no longer just use the program at school because I'm not enrolled in that kind of Art course in uni. Not that the uni I'm is any good for this stuff anyway...

To anyone who bothers to read these...

Sun Nov 16, 2008, 6:46 PM
To anyone who is interested, I have finally finished my exams! Whoot! Yay!

*Starts running around like an aeroplane*

I finally have more free time to do... nothing. Ah well :)

Something that has recently piqued an interest in me is the wonderful world of Captain Planet, and so I have been celebrating by watching cartoons, all day :)

Something else that has also piqued my interest is the current literature format on this site, which I find currently a bit messy, and not as organised as other literature sites. Of course, this is understandable because deviantart accommodates for a wide range of art but that doesn't mean the section can't be improved.
I find the current format is particularly messy for multichaptered stories, and although I acknowledge you can link it, if there's a better way, why not take it? This could work for comics as well.
I also think there should be an option to read completed or incomplete work and that there should be summaries that sum up the entire piece before reading - reading chapter snippets doesn't exactly give the full picture.

Well here is the link:

Please fave and comment it and hopefully it will become popular enough to get someone's attention.

I'm Back!

Sun Jan 13, 2008, 5:38 AM
Well, for anyone who missed me I'm back in Oz so I'll be uploading my photos from China and a few from Malaysia. Hee hee, my dad dropped the camera during the late part of the China trip so after I upload all the photos from China and England you won't have to put up with such a crappy quality camera anymore.

The buildings in China were really cool - until you see too many of them and they start to look the same after a while. We've got a few pics of the Great Wall too (Although I can't tell whether some shots are mine or my brother's). I'll just upload a whole bunch of them. We got totally scammed by the bus who took us there - remember kids, anyone on the street handing out these dealies is no good. We only got like an hour of the Great Wall, then they took us to 2 jade factories, a temple and some doctors who prescribe herbal medicine. Eurgh, boring. We were also supposed to see the Ming Tombs but they took us to this cheap Wax museum full of emperors of the Ming dynasty and what they were famous for. Although that wasn't as bad as the rest. The tour was also bad because once you got on the bus they asked you for more money.

But that makes my trip sound bad but I'm just warning other fellow tourists. Taxi drivers also get commissioned to take you to some of the cheaper not really worth it tourist spots so you might want to watch out for that.

Leaving for China

Sun Dec 2, 2007, 5:43 AM
Wow, I've never written in one of these things before but I've just discovered they're a good way of updating for awhile. I won't be on the site for a while because I'm going to China :) Instead of pictures of England all the time you might get pictures of China. But I still have a lot of dear old Englad I haven't uploaded yet and most of the pictures in China won't be made by me - my dad will be hogging the camera.

Toodle-oo people, I'll be back before long.
